Press and foodies alike gathered last Wednesday to preview the 4th annual Chicago Restaurant Week.

Last year, Chicago Restaurant Week served 335,000 diners, with an economic impact of $11.6 million for the Chicago restaurant industry. If this preview party is any indicator, this year will be even bigger!

The Preview Party, hosted by Blue Moon and Moet & Chandon, featured dishes from 15 of Chicago’s most celebrated restaurants.  Participating restaurants included:

The Berghoff – Bacon-Wrapped Shrimp (Blue Moon Recipe)
Le Colonial – Goi Cuon Ga
N9NE Steakhouse – Ahi Tuna Tartare
Province – Rotisserie Shredded Indian Duck Tacos
Terzo Piano – Pea Shoot and Fennel Salad
The Cape Cod Room – Trout Amandine
HUB 51 – Carrot Cake
IPO Restaurant – Goat Cheese and Strawberries
The Bristol – Mascarpone Cheesecake
The Drawing Room – Profiteroles
aja at the Dana Hotel & Spa – 18 Vegetable Salad
Bistrot Zinc – Tagine de Legumes
Harry Caray’s – Pan Seared Sea Scallop
Mexique – Cochinita Rillettes
Rosebud Prime – Mini Beef Tenderloin Sandwiches

Restaurant Week is quickly turning into a Chicago institution and the list has increased to almost mind-boggling numbers with over 200 participating restaurants. This list can become the bane of indecisive eaters across Chicagoland as they try to narrow the options down to only 10 lunches and 10 dinners. Restaurant Week is an opportunity to hit the restaurants you have only dreamed of dining in without having to wash dishes when the bill comes. Good luck choosing and bon appetit!
